Ketklin Soap by Biocuris is a medicated antifungal and antibacterial soap containing Ketoconazole 2.5% and Cetrimide 1%. Ketoconazole is a broad-spectrum imidazole antifungal that works by disrupting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes. This leads to increased membrane permeability and eventual fungal cell death. It is effective against dermatophytes (Trichophyton, Microsporum, Epidermophyton) and yeasts (Candida, Malassezia). Cetrimide is a quaternary ammonium compound with potent antibacterial activity against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, making it effective for secondary bacterial infections.
This dual-action soap is indicated for the management and prevention of various skin conditions including tinea infections (ringworm, athlete’s foot, jock itch), pityriasis versicolor (discolored patches), seborrheic dermatitis (dandruff-related scalp and facial scaling), candidal skin infections (intertrigo, diaper rash), and pyoderma (bacterial skin infections). It is also useful as an adjunct in the treatment of dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp.
Manufactured under Biocuris’s “Quality with Integrity” standard, Ketklin Soap offers consistent potency and purity. For best results, lather the soap on the affected area and leave it on for 3–5 minutes before rinsing thoroughly with water. Use twice daily for 2–4 weeks, depending on the severity of the infection. Continue using for at least one week after symptoms disappear to prevent recurrence.
