Diclocuris-SP by Biocuris is a potent, triple-action analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and proteolytic enzyme formulation combining Diclofenac Potassium, Paracetamol, and Serratiopeptidase Tablets, developed under the trusted brand promise — “Quality with Integrity”. This advanced combination is specifically designed for the rapid and effective management of acute pain, inflammation, swelling, and tissue damage associated with musculoskeletal injuries, dental procedures, post-surgical conditions, and various inflammatory disorders.
Diclofenac Potassium is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by inhibiting the cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) enzymes, thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins — chemical mediators responsible for pain, inflammation, and fever. Unlike Diclofenac Sodium, the potassium salt is more rapidly absorbed, achieving peak plasma concentrations within 30–60 minutes of oral administration. This rapid onset makes Diclofenac Potassium particularly suitable for acute pain conditions requiring fast relief, such as dental pain, musculoskeletal injuries, and renal colic.
Paracetamol (Acetaminophen) is a centrally acting analgesic and antipyretic that works primarily by inhibiting COX enzymes in the brain, raising the pain threshold, and reducing fever. It provides effective pain relief with minimal gastrointestinal irritation and complements the peripheral anti-inflammatory action of Diclofenac Potassium. Together, they offer synergistic pain relief through different mechanisms — Diclofenac reducing peripheral inflammation and Paracetamol acting centrally on pain perception.
Serratiopeptidase is a proteolytic enzyme derived from the silkworm (Bombyx mori) that possesses unique anti-inflammatory, anti-edematous, and fibrinolytic properties. It works by breaking down abnormal proteins and fibrin at sites of inflammation, reducing tissue viscosity, improving local blood circulation, and enhancing lymphatic drainage. Serratiopeptidase also inhibits the release of inflammatory mediators such as bradykinin and histamine, and helps clear pus, blood clots, and other inflammatory debris. This enzyme is particularly effective at reducing swelling (oedema), promoting faster healing, and improving tissue repair following trauma or surgery.
Triple Action Formula – Rapid pain relief + inflammation control + swelling reduction.
Fast Onset – Diclofenac Potassium absorbs faster than Diclofenac Sodium.
Enzyme-Powered Healing – Serratiopeptidase reduces oedema and removes tissue debris.
Synergistic Pain Relief – Dual analgesic (NSAID + Paracetamol) for stronger effect.
Short Course Convenience – Ideal for acute injuries, dental pain, and post-surgical recovery.
1. What is Diclocuris-SP used for?
It is used for rapid relief of acute pain, inflammation, and swelling in conditions like sprains, dental pain, post-surgical recovery, arthritis flares, sports injuries, and renal colic. It is for short-term use only.
2. How fast does it work?
Diclofenac Potassium starts working within 30–60 minutes for fast pain relief. Paracetamol adds central pain relief, and Serratiopeptidase works over 24–48 hours to reduce swelling.
3. What are the common side effects?
Common side effects include stomach upset, heartburn, nausea, and dizziness. Taking it with food reduces stomach irritation. Serious side effects like stomach bleeding are rare with short-term use.
4. How long can I take Diclocuris-SP?
It is intended for short-term use only, typically 5–7 days. Do not use for longer than directed by your doctor, as prolonged NSAID use increases risks of ulcers, kidney damage, and heart problems.
5. Can I take it with other painkillers?
Do not take with other NSAIDs (ibuprofen, naproxen, aspirin) or paracetamol-containing products due to risk of overdose and liver damage. Avoid alcohol while taking this medication.
