Fixicuris-O by Biocuris is a potent combination antibiotic containing Cefixime (200mg) and Ofloxacin (200mg). Cefixime is a third-generation cephalosporin that works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial cell death. Ofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that interferes with bacterial DNA replication by inhibiting DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV. Together, they provide synergistic broad-spectrum coverage against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.
This dual-action formulation is indicated for the treatment of mixed or complicated bacterial infections including acute bronchitis, community-acquired pneumonia, sinusitis, tonsillitis, pharyngitis, otitis media (ear infection), urinary tract infections (UTIs), uncomplicated gonorrhea, typhoid fever, and certain gastrointestinal infections such as shigellosis.
Manufactured under Biocuris’s “Quality with Integrity” standard, Fixicuris-O offers consistent potency and purity. The typical adult dosage is one tablet twice daily (every 12 hours) for 5–10 days, depending on the severity and type of infection. Always complete the full course as prescribed, even if symptoms improve earlier, to prevent antibiotic resistance

1. Can I take Fixicuris-O with food?
Yes, but avoid dairy products, calcium supplements, and antacids within 2 hours of taking it, as they reduce absorption.
2. How long does it take to show improvement?
Most patients notice symptom improvement within 48–72 hours, but always complete the full prescribed course.
3. Can I drink alcohol while taking Fixicuris-O?
Avoid alcohol, as it may increase side effects like dizziness, liver stress, and reduce antibiotic effectiveness.
4. Is it safe for children?
This strength (200mg/200mg) is for adults. Children’s dosing depends on body weight; consult a pediatrician.
5. What should I do if I miss a dose?
Take it as soon as you remember. If it’s almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double the dose.
