Onderis-4 DT by Biocuris is a patient-friendly antiemetic formulation containing Ondansetron Orally Disintegrating Tablets IP 4 mg, designed for rapid and effective relief from nausea and vomiting. True to the Biocuris commitment — “Quality with Integrity” — this tablet combines pharmaceutical excellence with innovative drug delivery technology.
Ondansetron is a selective serotonin 5-HT₃ receptor antagonist that works by blocking the action of serotonin — a chemical messenger responsible for triggering the vomiting reflex. Serotonin is released from the gut in response to various stimuli, including chemotherapy agents, radiation, surgery, or gastrointestinal infections. By blocking 5-HT₃ receptors both in the peripheral nervous system (gut) and the central nervous system (chemoreceptor trigger zone in the brain), Onderis-4 DT effectively prevents nausea and vomiting at its source.
The unique Orally Disintegrating Tablet (DT) formulation sets Onderis-4 DT apart from conventional tablets. It dissolves rapidly on the tongue within seconds, without the need for water, making it ideal for patients who have difficulty swallowing pills, including children, elderly individuals, and those already experiencing active nausea or vomiting. The quick dissolution also allows for faster absorption and onset of action compared to standard oral tablets.
Onderis-4 DT is clinically indicated for the prevention and treatment of nausea and vomiting associated with:
Chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) – Both acute and delayed phases
Post-operative nausea and vomiting (PONV) – Following surgical procedures
Radiation-induced nausea and vomiting
Gastroenteritis and other acute medical conditions
With a favorable safety profile, convenient dosing, and the ease of a melt-in-mouth tablet, Onderis-4 DT is an excellent choice for managing nausea across various clinical settings. Packaged in a 10×10 tablets configuration (100 tablets total), it is ideal for hospital use, travel kits, and home care.
No Water Needed – Dissolves instantly on the tongue for easy administration.
Fast Relief – Rapid absorption leads to quicker nausea control.
Swallow-Friendly – Ideal for children, elderly, and patients unable to swallow pills.
Potent Antiemetic – Highly effective against chemotherapy and post-op nausea.
Convenient Dosing – Just place on tongue; no chewing or drinking required.
